Fun Halloween Treats!

For my family, October is all about Fall Sports ending and getting ready for the Holiday season, starting with Halloween. My youngest son LOVES Halloween, and he and my husband were out this past weekend putting up Halloween decorations. I was never a big fan of Halloween, but seeing the excitement of this holiday through my son's eyes, I am beginning to like it more and more each year.

Below, you will find a few of my favorite Halloween kid's baking activities, and I will explain why I like them and how they save time while working on your child's developmental skills.

Halloween Treats

Pumpkin Pretzels

These cute pumpkin pretzels are from The Spruce Eats. All you need is orange candy melts (can get them at Michaels or JoAnn Fabrabrics), Green M&Ms, and small pretzels. Dip the preztezels in the chocolate and remove with a fork. Lay the dipped pretzel on a piece of wax paper and while the chocolate is still wet, place the M&M to look like a stem. Simple, quick and kids (adults too!) will love them.

Jack-O-Lantern Fruit Cups

Busy mom's this one is for you! All you need is orange fruit cups and a sharpie. Draw various shapped Jack-O-Lantern faces on top and your done.

Witch's fingers

This fun Halloween treat might seem a little weird, but I love it because it is so different than any other Halloween treat I've seen, plus it's super easy to make. Homemade Hooplah has a great video and tutorial on how to make them, but all you need are 3 ingredients: white chocolate melts, pretzel rods, and sliced almonds plus some green food coloring.

Mummy Oreos

You can't go wrong with chocolate and Oreos from Kimspired DIY! For these cute but yummy mummy Oreos you will need white chocolate melts, candy eyes (I bought mine at JoAnn's), and Oreos. Drizzle the white chocolate over the Oreo to look like a mummy, and while the chocolate is still soft, place the eyes on. That's it, super simple and easy!
